Important Safety Advice
Cyclo-oxygenase inhibitory NSAIDs as a class may have side effects in the liver, kidney, or gastrointestinal tract. Vomiting and soft stools/diarrhea were the most typical side effects observed in field tests. Typically minor, although they can also be very dangerous. Pet owners should stop the therapy and call their veterinarian if any side effects appear. Prior to receiving treatment with METACAM, pets should be examined for any pre-existing diseases and to determine whether they are currently on any prescribed medications. Avoid using another NSAID, a corticosteroid, or a nephrotoxic drug simultaneously.
METACAM Oral Suspension
