100 cats in an IKEA store. What occurs if 100 cats are released into an IKEA furniture store after all of the customers have left? As expected, you’ll have some fur on your couches and bed linens, a few cat fights, and you might even need to break a hole in a hollow wall to get rid of a stray cat who managed to get inside. All of that is standard procedure.
Cats are natural pleasure-seekers, and they are masters at locating cozy spots around the house to hang out.
They select the purrfect locations and cozy furnishings for a rejuvenating evening snooze because to their innate curiosity and ingenuity!
IKEA came up with the concept of releasing 100 cats in one of their stores to try out their furnishings and determine which products cats favored because cats are very aware of what makes them comfortable and live their lives in quest of comfort.
Beautiful housecats that were joined by their owners while the commercial for the well-known Swedish furniture business was being made make up the entire group of felines that participated in this spectacular trial.
It’s also the concept behind a brand-new IKEA commercial that, if subtly, aims to sell furniture and makes use of the brand’s new slogan, “Happy Inside.” A “making-of” film was also produced by the London-based advertising agency Mother, who created the ad, and it has proven to be more popular than the final product, receiving more than 2 million views on YouTube in just two weeks.
Mother claims that the ad and the “Herding Cats” video are “part of an integrated campaign with elements that launch later this month,” which will give IKEA consumers the chance to win a prize by identifying the piece of furniture the cat is perched on. According to Feh Tarty, Mother’s creative director, “The premise behind the work is that cats know better than anything what makes them feel good inside, and they live their lives in pursuit of their own comfort.”
